Description
Fat & Glucose Metabolizer — The Natural GLP-1 Supplement Built for People Who Train
A 12-active, pharmaceutical-grade formula that supports your body’s own GLP-1 and satiety pathways, healthy glucose metabolism, thermogenesis and a balanced lipid profile — with 582 mg of pure berberine per 2 capsules and zero caffeine, zero stimulants. Take it in the morning, before a big meal, or even at night.
Who is this natural GLP-1 supplement for?
One formula, four very different reasons to take it. Find yours:
Reach race weight without losing watts
Cut body fat while protecting glycogen use and training quality. Stimulant-free, so it stacks with your pre-workout and doesn’t wreck your sleep or HRV.
Eat less without white-knuckling it
Supports natural satiety signalling, steadier post-meal glucose and higher calorie burn at rest — the three levers that make a calorie deficit feel sustainable.
Protect your metabolic engine after 40
Berberine, chromium, cinnamon and phytosterols support healthy glucose and lipid metabolism, plus polyphenol antioxidant protection for the long game.
All the metabolic support, none of the jitters
No caffeine, no yohimbine, no huperzine. Heart rate and sleep untouched — you can take your evening dose with dinner.
What is a natural GLP-1 supplement — and how does it work?
GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a hormone your gut releases from specialised L-cells every time you eat. It tells your pancreas to release insulin in a glucose-dependent way, slows gastric emptying so you feel full longer, and signals satiety to the brain. It is one of the most important regulators of appetite, post-meal glucose and, indirectly, body fat.
A natural GLP-1 supplement does not inject a synthetic hormone. Instead, it uses food-derived compounds that have been shown in research to stimulate your own L-cells to release more GLP-1, to improve how your cells respond to insulin, and to support the downstream effects — satiety, steadier glucose, more fat used for fuel.
- Berbérine — stimulates GLP-1 secretion and GLP-1 biosynthesis in intestinal L-cells, partly via gut bitter-taste receptors (TAS2R38) and AMPK; human trials at 900–1000 mg/day report 12–20% higher GLP-1 levels.
- Cinnamon — in a randomised crossover trial in healthy adults, 3 g cinnamon with a meal significantly increased post-meal GLP-1 and lowered the insulin response (Am J Clin Nutr, 2009).
- Capsaicinoids (Capsimax®) — capsaicin with meals increased GLP-1 and lowered the hunger hormone ghrelin in a human crossover study (Eur J Nutr, 2009).
Why SCN™ Fat & Glucose Metabolizer is the most complete natural GLP-1 supplement on the market
Most “GLP-1 support” products are a single berberine capsule. We built a five-pathway system, because fat loss and metabolic health are not one mechanism. Each pathway is covered by actives at research-relevant doses, as highly concentrated standardised extracts — not cheap herb powders.
GLP-1 & satiety
Berberine · Cinnamon 15:1 · Capsimax® · Chromium — stimulate L-cell GLP-1 release, reduce cravings, help you stop eating sooner.
Glucose & insulin sensitivity
Berberine (AMPK activation) · Chromium picolinate · Cinnamon · Grape seed — support normal blood glucose and how efficiently your cells use it.
Thermogenesis & fat mobilisation
Capsimax® · Cinnamon · BioPerine® — raise resting energy expenditure and free fatty acids from fat stores, with no stimulant.
Dietary fat & cholesterol absorption
Chitosan · Plant phytosterols 95% — bind fat and compete with cholesterol in the gut so less is absorbed from your meal.

How each ingredient works — the science behind the formula
Berberine 97% — the natural GLP-1 hero 582 mg berberine
Berberine is an alkaloid extracted from Berberis vulgaris root and is the best-researched natural compound for GLP-1 and glucose metabolism. Its central action is activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) — the cell’s “metabolic master switch” — in liver, muscle and fat tissue. Activated AMPK increases glucose uptake into muscle, increases fat oxidation, reduces glucose production in the liver and slows carbohydrate breakdown in the gut.
Berberine also acts directly on the gut: it binds bitter-taste receptors (TAS2R38) on intestinal L-cells, which triggers GLP-1 release and increases proglucagon expression — i.e. the gut makes et releases more GLP-1. It additionally supports a healthier gut microbiome composition, which itself influences GLP-1 and metabolic signalling.
We use 600 mg of 97% extract = 582 mg berberine per 2 capsules — 873 mg at 3 capsules, squarely in the researched range. Most competitors use 300–500 mg of non-standardised extract.
Chitosan — the dietary fat binder 200 mg
Chitosan is a positively-charged fibre derived from crustacean shells. In the stomach it forms a gel; in the intestine that gel binds negatively-charged fat and bile acids, so a portion of dietary fat and cholesterol passes through unabsorbed. This is why it should be taken with or just before meals.
Cinnamon extract 15:1 — post-meal GLP-1 and glucose control 200 mg = 3 g cinnamon
True Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), concentrated 15:1 so 200 mg delivers the polyphenols of roughly 3 g of bark — the exact amount used in the human GLP-1 trial. Cinnamon polyphenols (type-A procyanidins, MHCP) have an insulin-mimetic action, increasing glucose uptake into cells and improving insulin sensitivity, and inhibit digestive enzymes to slow sugar absorption after a carbohydrate-rich meal.
Cinnamon is also one of the highest-ORAC antioxidant spices, supports healthy lipid metabolism and has antibacterial and antifungal activity in the gut.
Plant phytosterols 95% — cholesterol competition at the gut wall 160 mg
Phytosterols (predominantly beta-sitosterol) are structurally almost identical to cholesterol. In the intestine they compete with dietary and biliary cholesterol for incorporation into micelles, so less cholesterol is absorbed and more is excreted. This is the mechanism behind the cholesterol-reducing foods you see in supermarkets — here in a concentrated 95% complex that works alongside chitosan in the same meal.
Capsimax® — stimulant-free thermogenesis 120 mg (2.4 mg capsaicinoids)
Capsimax® is a patented, clinically studied extract of red chili pepper capsaicinoids, encapsulated with Omnibead® controlled-release technology so you get the full thermogenic effect without the burning stomach of raw cayenne. Capsaicinoids activate TRPV1 receptors, which increases thermogenesis (resting energy expenditure), lipolysis and free fatty acid mobilisation — and they do this without touching heart rate, blood pressure or catecholamines.
Capsaicinoids are the ingredient most often responsible for the pleasant “warm” feeling — and a little extra sweat during training — some users notice.
Grape seed extract 95% OPC — insulin signalling & vascular health 40 mg (38 mg OPC)
Grape seed oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are among the most potent plant antioxidants known. Beyond protecting cells from oxidative stress, grape seed procyanidins have been shown in experimental models to stimulate GLP-1 secretion, improve insulin sensitivity and support healthy lipid metabolism. OPCs also support nitric oxide availability for healthy blood flow, collagen integrity and brain health.
Pine bark extract 95% OPC — antioxidant capacity & lipid profile 40 mg (38 mg OPC)
Standardised pine bark proanthocyanidins (the same class of polyphenols as Pycnogenol®) protect the cardiovascular system by increasing plasma antioxidant capacity and supporting healthy LDL/HDL balance.
BioPerine® — the bioavailability amplifier 40 mg (38 mg piperine)
BioPerine® is Sabinsa’s patented black pepper extract standardised to 95% piperine — the most clinically studied natural bioavailability enhancer. Piperine increases blood supply to the gut, slows intestinal transit and inhibits enzymes that would otherwise break down nutrients before they’re absorbed. The manufacturer’s trials show it increases absorption of selenium by ~30%, beta-carotene by ~60% and vitamin B6 by 140–250%, and it is particularly relevant for berberine, which has notoriously poor absorption on its own.
Piperine also has its own thermogenic effect, supports healthy blood glucose control, has antioxidant and inflammation-balancing activity, and may support appetite control.
Policosanol 60% — hepatic cholesterol balance 40 mg (24 mg octacosanol)
Policosanol is a mixture of long-chain alcohols (octacosanol ~63%, triacontanol, hexacosanol) from sugar cane wax. It supports a healthy lipid profile by modulating cholesterol synthesis in the liver and increasing LDL receptor-mediated uptake and breakdown of LDL particles, while supporting HDL function. Policosanol also supports healthy platelet function and blood flow.
Vitamin E — cell protection 16 mg α-TE (133% NRV)
Vitamin E is the body’s primary fat-soluble antioxidant and contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress (EU-authorised health claim). It protects LDL particles and cell membranes from oxidation, and research in adults with metabolic challenges shows supplementation can support healthier LDL and triglyceride levels. It also supports skin, eye, immune and cognitive health.
Niacin (Vitamin B3) — energy metabolism & HDL support 16 mg NE (100% NRV)
Niacin is the precursor to NAD and NADP, the coenzymes every cell uses to turn carbohydrate, fat and protein into energy. It contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue (EU-authorised health claims). Niacin has long been studied for its role in supporting HDL (“good”) cholesterol and a healthy lipid profile.
Chromium picolinate — glucose & cravings 48 µg chromium (120% NRV)
Chromium is an essential trace mineral that potentiates insulin signalling via the chromodulin pathway. It contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism and to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels (EU-authorised health claims). Picolinate is the best-absorbed form. Chromium picolinate is well known for reducing carbohydrate cravings and appetite, and for helping preserve lean mass during a calorie deficit — exactly what an athlete cutting weight needs.
For endurance athletes: why a natural GLP-1 supplement belongs in your race-weight plan
Dropping 2–3 kg of body fat before a goal race can be worth minutes on a hilly marathon or a mountain stage — but every kilogram has to come off without costing you training quality, immune function or sleep. That is exactly where stimulant-based fat burners fail endurance athletes, and where Fat & Glucose Metabolizer wins:
- More fat, less glycogen: AMPK activation (berberine) and free fatty acid mobilisation (Capsimax®) push your body to burn more fat at aerobic intensities, sparing glycogen for the final hour.
- Better fuel partitioning: improved insulin sensitivity (chromium, cinnamon, berberine) means the carbohydrates you do eat go into muscle glycogen, not fat stores.
- Natural appetite control in a deficit: GLP-1 support makes a 300–500 kcal daily deficit feel manageable, so you don’t under-fuel sessions or binge on rest days.
- Zero stimulant load: no interference with HRV, resting heart rate, sleep or your caffeine strategy on race day. Take it in the evening without a second thought.
- Lean mass protection: chromium picolinate and a steadier glucose supply help preserve muscle while cutting.
- Doping-free: like every SCN™ product, manufactured under strict anti-contamination protocols with no banned substances.
The complete SCN™ stimulant-free fat-loss stack
- Carni-Lipolysis Active¹² — triple carnitine + Capsimax® + green tea: transports the fatty acids Fat & Glucose Metabolizer mobilises into the mitochondria to be burned. The two products are designed to be taken together.
- Complete x4 Hydrolyzed & Isolated Protein — zero sugar, zero fat, maximum satiety per calorie; protects muscle in a deficit.
- Endurance i-BCAA 6:1:1 et Activateur anticatabolique — minimise muscle breakdown during intense fasted or low-carb training.
- Bicarb-Lytes¹⁰ Zéro — complete electrolytes with zero calories for low-carb training days.
- Vitactive 87 — covers every micronutrient gap when calories are restricted.

Frequently asked questions about natural GLP-1 supplements
Does a natural GLP-1 supplement really increase GLP-1?
Yes — within natural physiological limits. Berberine, cinnamon and capsaicinoids have all been shown in human or cell studies to stimulate the gut’s own L-cells to release more GLP-1. The effect is more modest than an injected drug, but it comes with the additional metabolic benefits of the whole formula and none of the pharmaceutical side effects.
Is Fat & Glucose Metabolizer a replacement for GLP-1 medication?
No. It is a food supplement that supports your body’s natural pathways, not a medicine. Never stop or change a prescribed medication without talking to your doctor. Many people use it for ongoing metabolic support, or to help maintain results after they finish a medical programme — always with medical guidance.
How much berberine is in each dose?
600 mg of 97% Berberis extract = 582 mg pure berberine per 2 capsules (873 mg at 3 capsules). Combined with BioPerine® for absorption, this is in the range used in the human trials.
Does it contain caffeine or stimulants?
No. No caffeine, no yohimbine, no huperzine, no synephrine. It does not raise heart rate or disturb sleep, so you can take it at any time of day — including with dinner.
How long until I see results?
Appetite and post-meal effects are usually noticed within the first 1–2 weeks. Body composition and lipid changes build over 8–12 weeks of consistent use alongside a sensible diet and training.
Can I combine it with Carni-Lipolysis Active¹²?
Yes — they are designed as a pair. Fat & Glucose Metabolizer mobilises fat and supports GLP-1/glucose; Carni-Lipolysis Active¹² transports and burns the released fatty acids. Together they form the most complete stimulant-free fat-loss system we make.
Is it suitable for endurance athletes in competition?
Yes. It contains no banned substances and is manufactured under strict anti-contamination protocols. Because it supports glucose uptake, carry carbohydrates on long sessions.
Are there any allergens?
Yes: chitosan is derived from crustaceans and the phytosterols from soy. Not suitable if you are allergic to either. Consult your physician if pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication.
